The GANNET Aircraft Maintenance Information Software, developed by Lundin Software, has been chosen by Aerogulf Services to manage their maintenance.
The agreement marks another important step in GANNETs emergence in the aircraft maintenance software market.
Aerogulf Services Co. L.L.C is based at the International Airport of Dubai and has been in operation since 1976 providing helicopter support to the Dubai’s Oil & Gas Industry and aerial work for a variety of other Industries throughout the Middle East. With a fleet of seven Bell 212 and two Bell 206 helicopters, Aerogulf has built a reputation for safety and reliability. Aerogulfs services range from Offshore Support, Charters, Heavy Lifting, Seismic, Aerial Work and Adventure Tours. (www.aerogulfservices.com)
Early in Aerogulfs search for a new system, the GANNET emerged as a strong candidate. The software offers an innovative way of handling information and especially its customisability and intuitive nature make it a very powerful tool. As the current economic climate dictates, costs are considered more carefully, and in addition to its core strengths as an information management system, one of GANNETs major advantages is the total implementation cost. Both Aerogulf and Lundin Software have high hopes for the new co-operation and expect a very successful partnership for the future.
Briefly about the GANNET and Lundin Software
The GANNET software was originally developed for Atlantic Airways, a BAe 147 and helicopter operator. Because of GANNETs intuitive and different approach to user interfaces and information management, the software has generated a lot of industry interest. It was therefore decided to make the system available for other operators in 2010.
As the quote from Atlantic Airways Technical Planning Officer says, “made by the user, for the user”, the system has been developed to provide an exceptionally easy to use system with a very intuitive user interface. With the addition of great flexibility and up to date technology the system is a very powerful, high-tech and easy to use tool that gives the operator information and control over processes and resources related to maintenance. Lundin Software has extensive experience in developing maintenance information systems and has in addition to GANNET also developed OPUS for industrial maintenance. In addition to maintenance information systems, Lundin Software develops software solutions using the latest Microsoft technologies and has a very strong team of well educated and experienced software developers.
