West Star Aviation Completes Installation on F2000 Series Blended Winglet

East Alton, IL, August 17, 2010 – West Star Aviation, Inc. announced today that they completed their first installation of an Aviation Partners, Inc. F2000 series Blended Winglet on a Falcon 2000EX. The proven winglet technology is beneficial to all Falcon 2000 series aircraft, as it increases both performance and fuel savings.

In addition to the Blended Winglet installation, West Star performed a C-Inspection, interior refurbishment, exterior paint, and the installation of a communications package (including: Aircell Axxess, High-Speed Internet and a Tempus IC telemedicine system). The 2C Inspection is required every 12 years for most Falcon 2000 Series Aircraft. Installing API Blended Winglets in conjunction with a 2C inspection will help save the cost of removing wing planks to complete the modification on its own.

In addition to the Falcon 2000 series aircraft, West Star Aviation, Inc. also offers the Aviation Partners, Inc. Blended Winglet performance enhancement for the Hawker 800 /800XP series aircraft. The location for this enhancement is at West Star’s Grand Junction, CO facility (GJT)—they have completed 31 installations to date.
