Marquez Transtech Names New Director of Environmental Control Systems Design and Opens Toronto Office

Steve Vuglac’s expertise will further advance Marquez Transtech’s position as leading aerospace components manufacturer and integrator.

MONTREAL, QC, Aug. 25, 2010 – Marquez Transtech, a leading manufacturer and integrator of advanced composite and thermoplastic components for the aerospace and mass transit sectors, today announced the appointment of Mr. Steve Vuglac as Director of Environmental Control Systems (ECS) Design.

Steve Vuglac has more than 15 years of aerospace experience and has worked on numerous aircraft programs, including: Bombardier Challenger 300 and DASH 8, and several Airbus and Boeing VIP interior conversions. As Director of ECS Design, Mr. Vuglac will be based at Marquez Transtech’s new Toronto office and will serve clients worldwide. Working with aerospace original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and ECS providers, Steve will add significant value with his technical and design expertise in analysis, installations, testing, certification and noise reduction. Steve Vuglac holds an MBA from York University and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Ryerson University.

Working closely with OEMs and their strategic partners, Marquez Transtech designs and manufactures technically-advanced composite and thermoplastic components used in a variety of applications. Examples of successful client projects include: Provision of personal service unit ducting for the Boeing 787 “Dreamliner”, the design, qualification and manufacture of the enhanced look of the Global Vision cockpit on the Bombardier Global Express and the manufacturing of components for CAE simulators. Additionally, Marquez Transtech is a strategic partner and supplier of components for Volvo buses made in North America (Prevost, Nova Bus and Volvo Buses Mexico).
