AAR Expands Its Cargo Capabilities Through New Collaboration With GATCO

The two companies signed a joint statement of intent to collaborate on the development and marketing of narrow body cargo loading systems and components for freighter conversions.

WOOD DALE, ILLINOIS (September 17, 2010) — AAR has expanded its cargo systems capabilities through a collaboration with Global Aerospace Technology Corporation (GATCO). The two companies signed a joint statement of intent to collaborate on the development and marketing of narrow body cargo loading systems and components for freighter conversions. The agreement names AAR as a worldwide distributor and an authorized repair station for GATCO cargo systems components.

AAR Cargo Systems, headquartered in Goldsboro, North Carolina, holds more than 100 STC approvals from the FAA and EASA to perform modifications on a wide variety of in-service aircraft. GATCO is a disabled veteran-owned small business located in Chatsworth, California that holds over 50 FAA STCs and PMAs for cargo loading systems and components. Together, AAR and GATCO offer commercial and government/defense customers a competitive single source for a complete range of narrow body cargo systems and solutions.”
