Barcelona, Spain....Ireland’s CityJet, part of the Air France KLM Group, has agreed a major and comprehensive five-year, multi-million pound support deal with BAE Systems.

This ‘Total Support’ package covers JetSpares, Continued Airworthiness and Technical Support services and the supply of Technical Publications.

CityJet currently has a fleet of 27 Avro RJ85s – one of the largest in Europe – and operates an extensive network of scheduled services in both Paris Charles de Gaulle and London City Airports on behalf of Air France. The convenience of London City Airport for business travellers to and from London is enhanced by the CityJet network, with high-frequency daily flights to major European destinations including Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Dublin, Paris Orly and Milan Linate.

The airline is renewing its JetSpares customised rotable spares support programme for a further five years. JetSpares is designed to allow an airline to concentrate on its operations while BAE Systems Regional Aircraft takes care of spares inventory, logistics and repairs. The priority is to keep the airline’s business running smoothly by providing a first-class support service.

CityJet has also committed to a five year extension on BAE Systems’ Tech 21 service for all Technical and Engineering Support under which an annual payment entitles the airline to enjoy priority technical support (AOG), including regular customer support reviews on fleet dispatch reliability, the services of a dedicated customer engineer and continuing airworthiness support.

The airline has also re-committed for a further five years of technical publications support on all technical and flight manuals delivered by BAE Systems Regional Aircraft online iSapphire service.

In addition, BAE Systems also announced today that an extension to the JetSpares agreement covering the RJ85 aircraft operated by Pelita Air Service in Indonesia has also been signed.
