FlightSafety's Vital X Visual System Enhances Helicopter Simulators and Training Programs
FlightSafety has installed advanced VITAL X visual systems in its fleet of full flight simulators and new Level 7 qualified flight training devices for helicopters manufactured by Bell, Eurocopter and Sikorsky.
LA GUARDIA AIRPORT, New York (October 13, 2010) – FlightSafety International announces the installation of advanced VITAL X visual systems in its fleet of full flight simulators and new Level 7 qualified flight training devices for helicopters manufactured by Bell, Eurocopter and Sikorsky.
FlightSafety’s VITAL X visual system is optimized for training low level flight operations. It offers increased scene content, vastly improved weather features, and enhanced levels of detail for optimum cueing. VITAL X delivers the ability for helicopter pilots and crews to be completely immersed in all training requirements.

FlightSafety has completed the installation of VITAL X visual systems on all of its helicopter simulators and Level 7 qualified flight training devices. They include the Bell 206, 212, Bell 412, Bell 407 and Bell 430; the Sikorsky S-70, S-76 and S-92 and the Eurocopter AS350.
In addition, FlightSafety has introduced a number of new visual database enhancements for the VITAL X system. They include an EMS specific database in a mountainous area near Laguna Beach, CA with a freeway crash scene, a hospital with landing pad, a pinnacle landing site, and several airport/heliport access points. To support offshore operators, FlightSafety has added several heliports in the Gulf of Mexico area, as well as new high-detail oil platforms. A comprehensive visual model of Manhattan is also in development to support a wide variety of operators in the New York region.

We currently offer a fleet of 15 helicopter simulators and other advanced training devices at Learning Centers in Fort Worth, Texas; Lafayette, Louisiana; Tucson, Arizona; West Palm Beach, Florida and at the Farnborough airport in the United Kingdom.
