FlightSafety Expands its Traning Services for Embraer Aircraft Operators in Europe, Asia and South America

FlightSafety will now offer training services for the EMBRAER 170 and EMBRAER 190 aircraft in Singapore using a Level D qualified interchangeable full flight simulator.

LA GUARDIA AIRPORT, New York (October 13, 2010) – FlightSafety International announces an expansion of the training services it provides to Embraer aircraft operators in Europe, Asia and South America.

“We are pleased to provide Embraer aircraft operators with increased training and simulator availability and scheduling flexibility through the addition of Amsterdam, Curitiba in Brazil, Singapore and Zurich to our network of training locations,” said Eric Hinson, Executive Vice President.

FlightSafety will now offer training services for the EMBRAER 170 and EMBRAER 190 aircraft in Singapore using a Level D qualified interchangeable full flight simulator. An aircraft cabin fuselage outfitted with passenger seating, emergency exits, cabin door and slide is also available for crew emergency training.

An EMBRAER 170/190 interchangeable simulator is available for training in Amsterdam along with a Virtual Procedures Trainer for instructor led or self paced learning. In addition, an EMBRAER 170 simulator is available for training in Zurich. Embraer aircraft operators from Europe and the surrounding regions, including the growing number who train at FlightSafety’s Paris Le Bourget Learning Center, will appreciate the added convenience of having direct access to additional training resources in Europe.

The Embraer ERJ 145 aircraft simulator located in Curitiba, Brazil has recently received Level D qualification from the National Civil Aviation Agency in Brazil. It features FlightSafety’s latest advances including the VITAL visual system.

“Assuming responsibility for these EMBRAER 170 and EMBRAER 190 simulators and training services from Embraer follows their selection earlier this year of FlightSafety as the factory authorized training provider for the company’s E-Jets family of commercial jets, as well as the Lineage 1000 and Legacy 600 executive jets,” said Mike King, Director Business Development.

FlightSafety and Embraer are working together to develop new training programs, update existing courses, and determine the timing and location of additional flight simulators, devices, and equipment that will be needed to support Embraer aircraft operators. FlightSafety now provides training for Embraer aircraft at nine locations using a fleet of 24 full flight simulators and other advanced training devices.
