Jet Aviation Launches “JetStart” to Assist New Owners in Developing Their In-house Flight Department and Entering Their New Aircraft into Service From Day One

Teterboro, N.J. / October 19, 2010 – Jet Aviation Flight Services, Inc., is launching “JetStart,” a turn-key solution program for new aircraft owners who need assistance in developing a fully operational in-house flight department before aircraft delivery. The company is also announcing the appointment of Chris Wheeler to lead the newly established “JetStart” division.

“JetStart” is designed to enable first time buyers to enjoy the benefits of aircraft ownership from day one. The services include all preparations to ensure compliance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, permits and authorizations, flight department processes to support all mission requirements and aircraft preparation for flights in accordance with the owner’s personal requirements.

Jet Aviation Flight Services has appointed Chris Wheeler as vice president operations to head the company’s newly established “JetStart” division. Chris joined Jet Aviation in 1995 and held several managerial positions within the company; he most recently served as vice president/base manager of the company’s Chicago, Ill., operation. Chris Wheeler will be operating from Chicago and reports to Bob Seidel, senior vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation Flight Services, Inc.

The program also offers ad hoc services that can be integrated into the package to support the owner’s specific operational objectives. These services include the following: pre-buy inspection, aircraft conformity checks, completion monitoring, personnel recruitment, Part 135 services (partner program), flight following, maintenance planning and tracking, consulting and auditing services.
