Hawker Beechcraft Delivers Modified King Air 350C Aircraft to Colombian Air Force

Five King Air 350 aircraft have been delivered to date, while a sixth is expected to be delivered later this year.

ATLANTA (Oct. 20, 2010) – Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) today announced the recent deliveries of its Beechcraft King Air 350C turboprops, equipped with a cargo door and specially-designed modified interior, to the Colombian Air Force for use as air ambulances. The aircraft were sold to Colombia under a Foreign Military Sales agreement with the United States Department of Defense. Five King Air 350 aircraft have been delivered to date, while a sixth is expected to be delivered later this year.

The King Air 350 is among the most rugged, widely utilized and capable platforms in the world. It not only has a Maximum Operating Altitude of 35,000 ft. (10,668 meters), but is also approved to operate from unimproved, as well as paved runways. The airplane is able to take off in 3,300 ft. (1,006 meters) and lands in just 2,692 ft. (821 meters).
