AMS Poised For Growth Adds Thomas Mitchell As Senior V.P.

Tom Mitchell brings extensive management, operational and technical experience to AMS.

October 2010 – Portsmouth, NH -- Aviation Management Systems, Inc. (AMS), an industry leader in business and commercial aviation consulting, recently announced that Thomas W. Mitchell has joined them as Senior Vice President Operations and Business Development.

Responding to an increased demand for their expertise, AMS has been expanding their wide range of business aviation consulting services, which they have offered for more than 25 years. Tom brings extensive management, operational and technical experience to AMS. His vast number of business achievements and extensive skill set will assist AMS in expanding its capabilities when it comes to representing clients during new and pre-owned aircraft acquisitions, managing assets from a financial, technical and operational perspective and all other aspects of business aviation including fractional ownership, charter and jet/flight card programs, safety management and risk mitigation and aircraft finance.

Tom previously held positions with Jet Aviation as a Director, General Manager, Vice President and Senior Vice President of the company’s technical services product lines. He served as a manager for a Fortune 500 company that owned and operated several Dassault and Bombardier business jets. As a Director of Maintenance for an FAR Part 135 charter provider operating business jets and helicopters, Tom designed and built an authorized turbine engine repair facility that performed major repairs on Pratt and Whitney, Lycoming and General Electric engines. Tom’s management, operational and technical experience combined with his varied business achievements provide him a unique perspective and approach to dealing with the challenges owners and operators are faced with today in business aviation.
