Yingling Aviation Names Service Manager at Independence, Kansas, Facility

Yingling Aviation has named Gregg Olson to the position of Service Manager at the service facility the firm recently opened.

Wichita, KS — Yingling Aviation has named Gregg Olson to the position of Service Manager at the service facility the firm recently opened in a leased 10,000 square foot hangar at the Independence Municipal Airport in Independence, Kansas. Located adjacent to Cessna Aircraft Company’s manufacturing site at the southeastern Kansas airport, the newly established Yingling site is a Cessna Authorized Service Facility. Olson most recently served as a Flight Mechanic at the Cessna Independence Plant, having held that post since 2005. Gregg is a licensed A & P mechanic with an Inspection Authorization and holds a Certified Flight Instructor’s certificate, as well.

Prior to joining Cessna, Olson was the Chief Mechanic and a Flight Instructor at Glacier Aviation in Olympia, Washington. He previously served as the Chief Mechanic at American Flyers in California, as well.

A native of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Gregg graduated from William J. Palmer High School in 1988. He attended Colorado Aero Tech in Broomfield, Colorado, where he obtained his A&P license and is currently enrolled at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) where he is pursuing a degree in Aviation Maintenance Management. He and his wife, Kizmi and 2 children reside in Fredonia, Kansas.
