The agreement is to provide a portfolio of loan, exchange, sale, consignment, consumable and repair management services for all in-service Airbus and Boeing aircraft fleets across China.
London, November 10th 2010: A J Walter Aviation has signed a partnership agreement with Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Company, Ltd. (GAMECO) to provide a portfolio of loan, exchange, sale, consignment, consumable and repair management services for all in-service Airbus and Boeing aircraft fleets across China.
Access to AJW’s significant spares inventories will allow GAMECO to be more competitive in the component support market offering guaranteed turn times, access to pool or exchange units and rapid service. According to Bill Norman, General Manager, GAMECO, “Using the AJW inventories combined with our material management and logistics capabilities and our state-of-the-art component repair facilities, we are now able to offer competitive solutions to operators across China including loan, exchange, sale, consignment, consumable and repair management services.”
Christopher Whiteside, President, A J Walter Aviation said, “GAMECO is able to provide a wide range of line and base maintenance services out of its facilities in Guangzhou, China. Their rapidly growing component repair capability for B737/747/757/767/777 and A320/330 aircraft combined with AJW’s exemplary AOG and critical 24/7 customer support will bring new levels of service to operators in China.”
The partnership will leverage the strength of GAMECO in the China aviation market with AJW’s logistical and operational expertise. Together both companies will market the complete commercial flexibility that is guaranteed by component availability from AJW’s significant inventories of more than 400,000 spare parts valued at a minimum of $350m. With over 700 customers and 350 aircraft under contract, AJW is an established service provider of choice for those operators looking to achieve competitive advantage.
