Western Aircraft Recieves OSHA’s Sharp Award

Western Aircraft has continuously held this award since September 2006.

Boise, Idaho, November 15, 2010 – Greenwich AeroGroup announced today that Western Aircraft has been granted the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) award, for its exemplary safety and training program.

OSHA’s SHARP Program recognizes employers with less than 250 employees who operate excellent safety and health management systems. It is one of the highest awards OSHA can give to a small company.

“Safety is of the utmost importance to us for our employees and customers,” said Greenwich AeroGroup’s Senior Vice President of MROs Jeff Mihalic. “We are extremely excited to have been recognized by OSHA for our hard work in this area.”

SHARP is designed to provide incentives and support to employers who implement and continuously improve effective safety and health management systems at their work sites. This designation allows Western Aircraft to forego the regularly scheduled OSHA compliance inspections.

Western Aircraft has continuously held this award since September 2006.
