Sargent to Open Aviation Aftermarket Service Office in Singapore

Tucson, Arizona, December 20, 2010 – Sargent Aerospace & Defense, a leading supplier of precision engineered components and aftermarket services, and an operating company within Dover Corporation’s (NYSE: DOV) Industrial Products Segment, announced that it will open a customer service and business development office in Singapore on January 3, 2011.

The new office will be located at 31 Kaki Bukit Road, Singapore in the Techlink Building. Sargent’s new facility will enhance customer service for existing commercial aerospace customers, as well as support growth across the continent via a regional sales team. “Sargent’s expansion to Asia is a direct result of its booming commercial aviation market, one that will double from 4,500 airliners to approximately 9,000 within the next decade,” said Scott Still, president, Sargent Aerospace & Defense. “Those ongoing deliveries not only enhance our role as an original equipment manufacturer of engineered components for a variety of Airbus, Boeing and other aircraft, but also our opportunities to better serve our aftermarket customers throughout an aircraft’s lifecycle.”

Today in Asia, there is a robust commercial aviation market, fueled by the rapid economic growth in this region over the past 15 years. Within the next 10 years, the number of aircraft in service is expected to more than triple. Sargent’s Singapore office plans to effectively serve this market through a direct link to the company’s worldwide operating system, providing real-time communications to customers and minimizing wait times exacerbated by time zone differences.
