TETERBORO, NJ – Freestream Aircraft Limited, one of the world’s preeminent preowned business jet brokers, has appointed Sarah Mespelt as Design Coordinator to manage the Freestream Interior Room. This service is the first of its kind among turbine aircraft brokers.

Based at Teterboro Airport, Ms. Mespelt will provide Freestream clients with complete interior consulting and specification services for pre-owned aircraft refurbishment as well as new aircraft completions. Working closely with vendors to coordinate design, quality, cost, and delivery, she will serve as liaison between Freestream and the completion centers, monitoring each project and keeping clients updated throughout the completion or refurbishment process.

“Having worked with Sarah on several large cabin aircraft design projects during her tenure at Savannah Air Centre, I felt that her dedication and attention to detail was of such a high standard that I wanted her on my Team,” said Alireza Ittihadieh, Freestream CEO. “She is already involved in a $3.0 million G IV-SP refurbishment, to be followed immediately with work on the BBJ2 interior project with Lufthansa Technik and world-renowned designer Marc Newson.”

Freestream’s Interior Room at Teterboro will offer a wide range of fabric and leather swatches; a complete range of carpet, wood and laminate samples; as well as samples of other interior furnishings like china and crystal. This will enable Freestream to provide their clients with interiors tailored to their specific requirements for seating, work space, entertainment cabinetry and galleys.

“Sarah has a wonderful ability to understand our clients’ functional requirements as well as their personal styles,” Ittihadieh continued, “and translate those into a completion or refurbishment that is both efficient and aesthetically pleasing, reflecting each client’s individual taste and preferences.”

Prior to joining Freestream, Mespelt served as an interior designer with Gulfstream Aerospace and Jet Aviation, managing more than 25 new aircraft completions and pre-owned refurbishments on GIV, GV, Globals XRS and 5000 aircraft as well as Challenger 850 and various Falcon models. She began her aviation design management career upon graduating with degrees in Architecture and Interior design from Savannah College of Art and Design.

“Creating an aircraft interior that sets new standards in luxury air travel requires great design,” said Mespelt. “Freestream’s clients are among the most precise and demanding business jet owners in the world, and I look forward to the challenge or meeting their requirements.”
