General Mitchell International Airport Announces All Flights Canceled Until At Least 5 P.M. Today

Mitchell Airport advises individuals traveling today and tonight to keep in touch with their airlines regarding their individual flights before heading to the airport.

MILWAUKEE (February 2, 2011) – Due to continued blizzard conditions and snow covered roads in SE Wisconsin, all flights at Mitchell Airport (MKE) have been canceled until at least 5 p.m., Wednesday.

Mitchell Airport advises individuals traveling today and tonight to keep in touch with their airlines regarding their individual flights before heading to the airport.

General Mitchell International Airport is owned by Milwaukee County and operated by the Department of Transportation & Public Works, Airport Division, under the policy direction of the Milwaukee County Executive and the County Board of Supervisors. The airport is entirely funded by user fees; no property tax dollars are used for the airport’s capital improvements or for its day-to-day operation.
