AFI KLM E&M Completes AMG Integration
Operating from five facilities in Miami, Atlanta, and Dallas, AMG is ideally located to meet the needs of customers operating commercial or regional aircraft fleets in North and Latin America and the Caribbean.
Paris, Amstelveen, 4 February, 2011 – On Friday 21 January, AFI KLM E&M increased its equity stake in Aero Maintenance Group (AMG) to 100%. This is result of a partnership forged in 2005, and a key growth driver for AFI KLM E&M in the Americas.
Christian Tallec CEO, Mike Olesik COO. A shareholder in AMG since 2005, AFI KLM E&M became a majority shareholder in the company in 2008. As the MRO acquires full control, Christian Tallec has become its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Christian Tallec has over twenty years’ experience within Air France, most recently as Head of its Operations Control Center and as AFI KLM E&M Vice President Sales and Marketing. “This important step,” he said, “marks AFI KLM E&M’s strategic ambition to grow in the Americas. We are ready to take up a considerable challenge, namely to become the supplier of choice for airlines in North and South America, in a region accounting for almost 40% of the global market.”
Mike Olesik has over thirty years of aviation-related experience mostly in the Engineering & Maintenance divisions of various airlines in the US. Until recently Vice President and General Manager of AMG’s Air-Pro, he has now been appointed AMG’s Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Expertise in components and aero structures. Operating from five facilities in Miami, Atlanta, and Dallas, AMG is ideally located to meet the needs of customers operating commercial or regional aircraft fleets in North and Latin America and the Caribbean. Its production capacity combined with a Logistics Center strategically located in Miami means it can provide local component support and composite repairs for a wide range of commercial and regional aircraft.
As a subsidiary of AFI KLM E&M, AMG now combines the flexibility and competitiveness of a US start-up with the expertise, adaptability and reputation of AFI KLM E&M, a leading player on the global MRO market.
