Feb. 4, 2011
The second annual scholarship golf tournament is set for Friday, March 4 at the Grande Pines Golf Club in Orlando, FL.
Alexandria, VA, Feburary 3, 2011– Helicopter Foundation International (HFI) will be holding its second annual scholarship golf tournament at HELI-EXPO 2011. The tournament is set for Friday, March 4 at the Grande Pines Golf Club in Orlando, Fla. Grande Pines is a beautiful golf course — one of 176 in the Orlando area. Sponsorships at all levels and player signup spaces are still available. Sign up online at www.helicopterfoundation.org.

Participation and sponsorship in the tournament is a great opportunity to help deserving students who might otherwise be unable to realize their dream of a rewarding career in aviation. Donations to HFI help to preserve Helicopter history and to support HFI’s Scholarship Program. All proceeds from sponsorships and player signups through the HFI Scholarship Golf Tournament go directly to the HFI Scholarship Fund.

At the tournament, sponsoring companies get to see their company or organization’s logo proclaiming support for HFI’s scholarship program. Player signup is underway. There will be a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start with scramble format. Put together your own foursome or sign up as an individual and we will put you in a group. The course is located on International Drive about a mile and a half south of the Orange County Convention Center.

Companies interested in sponsoring a part of the event or interested players should contact Art Ashton at 360-901-2350 ([email protected]).

If you are flying into Orlando on Friday morning, you can catch a taxi directly to Grande Pines. There will be a place for you to change clothes and to store luggage. HFI will provide transportation to your hotel after the golf dinner. If you would like to travel light, the course has rental clubs available (call ahead to reserve a set).
