Mxi Technologies Announces New Chief Financial Officer and Strategic Board Appointment

Scott Helmer has been appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Blair Geddes to the company’s board of directors.

Ottawa, Canada (February 10, 2011) – Mxi® Technologies, the leader in aviation maintenance software, has announced the appointment of Scott Helmer to the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the appointment of Blair Geddes to the company’s Board of Directors. With these appointments, Mxi Technologies strengthens its core financial and business leadership team to continue to build momentum for the organization’s growth.

Mr. Helmer brings over 15 years of experience to the role of CFO having previously held senior finance positions with both public and private technology companies in the communications and information security markets. Prior to joining Mxi, Mr. Helmer served as CFO of Galazar Networks and held senior finance roles with ActivCard, Alcatel, and Newbridge Networks.

Mr. Geddes brings to the board over 20 years of experience in senior finance roles at private and public companies operating in the telecom, software and defense industries. Mr. Geddes also brings significant experience in the management and facilitation of high-growth organizations having held senior-level positions at Med-Eng Systems, ActivCard, Ericsson and Newbridge Networks. In addition to his role as a Director, Mr. Geddes will chair the Board’s Audit Committee and serve as a member of the Board’s Compensation Committee.
