VERO BEACH, Fla., March 9, 2011 – Piper Aircraft Inc. has appointed National Airways Corp. (NAC) as the company’s Authorized Distributor for Sub-Saharan Africa, effective immediately. NAC, through its wholly owned subsidiary 43 Air School, is the largest Piper fleet operator in Africa.

While fourth quarter and full-year Piper deliveries will not be announced until February 2011, production activity during 2010 was up by more than 75 percent compared to 2009.
The Eclipse Jet made its first appearance in Africa at the AAD at Waterkloof in September of 2012. This marks the forty-sixth country in which the Eclipse Jet is certified for use.
