The Associated – 3S teaming relationship enables Associated to access new markets through the introduction of highly sought-after capabilities and proficiencies to the rapidly changing aerospace MRO environment.

Vancouver, BC – Associated Aviation’s (Associated) Chief Executive Officer, Adrienne Robinson announces that based on discussions held at Heli-Expo 2011, Associated has entered into a teaming agreement with electronics and avionics specialty firm; 3S Certification and Engineering (3S).

‘’3S is a dynamic and growing aviation engineering organization that offers Associated and our customers more than 30 years of proven experience in the aerospace avionics industry; as illustrated through its work with some of the industry’s leading providers, including Collins Avionics, Gulfstream Aircraft, ARINC and Hawker Beechcraft. Through our teaming relationship with 3S and Bill Shields (3S founder and owner), we increase our avionics engineering, systems and structural capabilities in the critical areas of standard aircraft modifications, as well as specialty projects requiring Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) development, engineering, integration and certification.’’

3S is also a Federal Aviation Administration-approved STC Organization Designation Authorization (STC-ODA). The ODA designation allows for specific steps in the STC process to be handled internally at 3S, therefore streamlining the typical STC development schedule.

Robinson explains that during her career as an aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) executive she has had the privilege to work with Shields and his world-class team of engineering professionals at 3S, and she is confident this teaming relationship will pay dividends to Associate Aviation’s customers.

Managed and directed through Associated Aviation’s management team; 3S’s years of experience and detailed technical knowledge; obtained from decades of success in the aerospace MRO industry makes it a ideal teaming partner to fulfill operator needs and expectations to a high level of performance and customer satisfaction, while also addressing strict budgetary and timeline constraints. In turn, the Associated – 3S teaming relationship enables Associated to access new markets through the introduction of highly sought-after capabilities and proficiencies to the rapidly changing aerospace MRO environment.

Associated Aviation offers North American and International operators support for turbine engine, component and airframe repair and overhaul; inspections, modifications and completions; avionics, integrated logistics support and technical training (at customer location or at its North American maintenance facility). The company specializes in Eurocopter AS350 and AS355; Sikorsky S61/S76 and Bolkow BO105 model helicopters.
