LAKELAND, Fla. (March 29, 2011) – Hawker Beechcraft Global Customer Support (GCS) today announced its factory-owned service centers have, once again, received the coveted Diamond Award from the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Maintenance Technician Program. All eight Hawker Beechcraft Services (HBS) maintenance centers in the U.S., including Little Rock, Ark.; Tampa, Fla.; Atlanta, Ga.; Indianapolis, Ind.; Wichita, Kan.; Houston, Texas; San Antonio, Texas; and Mesa, Arizona, met the requirements for the FAA’s highest distinction for excellence in aircraft maintenance training.

“HBS service centers and technicians have consistently earned honors from the FAA’s Aviation Maintenance Technician Program, which recognizes the hard work, commitment and dedication of members of our Global Experience Team,”said Christi Tannahill, Hawker Beechcraft vice president, Global Customer Support. “To ensure that our customers receive a world-class ownership experience, we have placed a great deal of emphasis on hiring the best people in the industry and assuring our people have ongoing access to training. These awards validate our approach.”

To achieve the prestigious Diamond Award, a facility must have 100 percent of its employees participating in the FAA’s Maintenance Technician Program. Individuals can receive a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award. The awards are based on the number of hours of FAA-approved aviation maintenance training received throughout the year.
