BizJet International, Lufthansa Technik's US-subsidiary based in Tulsa/Oklahoma, has signed a completion contract for an Airbus A319 Corporate Jet (CJ) with an undisclosed Asian customer. The project will start at the beginning of 2012.

Walter Heerdt, Senior Vice President Marketing & Sales of Lufthansa Technik, said: "Asia has become one of the most important commercial aviation markets worldwide over the past years. Since a while also the VIP-business accelerates significantly. I am convinced that this high end project will be an ambassador for Lufthansa Technik's high quality services in this region and will certainly attract other customers from Asia to entrust their VIP projects to us."

Kai Roepke, President and CEO of BizJet International said: "We are very proud that we have been selected by an Asian customer. This contract is a clear evidence that our business strategy is on the right track and that we are able to compete successfully also on international markets outside of the Americas. The completion of this Airbus A319 CJ is another great opportunity for us to extend our narrow body portfolio into the Asian region."
