Basel / Switzerland, May 20, 2011 – Jet Aviation Basel and Jet Aviation Geneva offer a complete Boeing Next Generation BBJ 12-year service package to BBJ customers.

Jet Aviation now offers a complete Boeing NG BBJ 12-year service package to its BBJ customers through its maintenance facilities in Basel and Geneva. Delivering the most competitive personalized 12-year service inspection available to BBJ owners and operators, Jet Aviation covers all mandatory inspections per the Boeing Maintenance Planning Data (MPD) guide, including the highly recommended Engine Boroscope inspection, service bulletins, service letters and Airworthiness directives.

The 12-year “tip-to-tail” service inspection requires extensive overhauls of all major aircraft systems and structures, which must be removed and reinstalled. To help reduce aircraft downtime, Jet Aviation offers the 12-year BBJ service inspection in combination with other maintenance or refurbishment work in Basel, such as exterior painting and avionic or cabin management system upgrades.

“As world-renowned MRO and authorized Boeing service centers, the Jet Aviation Basel and Geneva facilities have a wealth of experience and specialized expertise, which our customers value,” says Christof Späth, senior vice president MRO and FBO services for Jet Aviation EMEA & Asia. “Our in-house capabilities and superior supplier agreements, coupled with our commitment to the highest quality standards, keep Boeing operators returning for MRO services on a regular basis.”

Jet Aviation Basel is the designated service center in EMEA for ensuring Special Federal Regulation 88 (“SFAR 88”) compliance for the Boeing 737 fleet and has strictly dedicated hangar space for BBJ maintenance checks. To permit faster turn around times, Jet Aviation Basel recently invested in an aircraft docking station that accommodates wings and tails, and the facility’s paint shop also accommodates BBJs. It has completed over 30 wide- and narrow-body aircraft the past 15 years.

Jet Aviation Basel provides the full range of maintenance services, including D-checks on all Boeing models, while its hangar can accommodate aircraft up to the size of a Boeing 747. As a factory approved service center for Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Dassault and Gulfstream, and as one of only two PATS Aircraft Systems modification centers worldwide that is authorized for auxiliary fuel tank maintenance, Jet Aviation Basel holds a jet aircraft repair station rating by the FAA #QV1Y440K, and the EASA #CH.145.0232 in addition to approval certificates of 21 other national aviation authorities.
