Dave Horton Named as New Uniflight General Manager
Horton will oversee daily operations as well as strategic planning and implementation as an integral part of the ongoing growth and diversification at Uniflight.
19 May, 2011 - Grand Prairie, Texas, Uniflight has announced the recent appointment of Mr. David R. “Dave” Horton to the position of General Manager for the company’s Grand Prairie, Texas operations. Horton will oversee daily operations as well as strategic planning and implementation as an integral part of the ongoing growth and diversification at Uniflight. The company is also undergoing a transition to a larger and recently refurbished facility also located at the Grand Prairie Airport (KGPM) in the Dallas/Ft.Worth metroplex area. Horton was most recently the President and General Manager of Schweizer Aircraft Corporation and brings with him over twenty five years of experience in the aviation business sector having held executive management and leadership positions. His experience also includes sales and management disciplines with an airframe manufacturer, aircraft maintenance and completion facilities, as well as worldwide support and marketing initiatives.
Speaking from the company’s offices in Grand Prairie, Uniflight CEO and Chairman, Joseph Hawke commented, “We were looking for someone to lead our Grand Prairie operations with not only experience and background but with proven leadership and forward thinking attributes. Horton will assume the duties as General Manager at the company’s Grand Prairie operations immediately.
