Francis Lee Joins Dallas Airmotive as General Manager of new Singapore Regional Turbine Center

Lee spent the past 12 years as general manager at a Rolls-Royce 250 AMC and Turbomeca service center.

Dallas, Texas…June 15, 2011…Francis Lee has joined Dallas Airmotive, a BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul Group (ERO) company, as general manager of the company’s new Regional Turbine Center opening in early 2012 in Singapore.

“Francis brings more than 25 years of experience in engine repair and overhaul, a management background and knowledge of the Asian-Pacific market to the position,” stated Chris Head, BBA Aviation ERO Vice President, Operations EMEA and Emerging Markets. “He is customer focused and with his knowledge of the local operator base will help us quickly respond to their needs from the day we open our new Singapore facility.”

Lee spent the past 12 years as general manager at a competing provider’s Rolls-Royce 250 AMC and Turbomeca service center. Prior to that time he spent 14 years with the Hawker Siddeley Group in a variety of roles centered on engine MRO services. He holds a degree in Business Management from the Singapore branch of Bradford University (UK).

Lee will be heavily involved in the startup process of the new Dallas Airmotive Regional Turbine Center (RTC) which will be based at Singapore’s Seletar Aerospace Park. The Dallas Airmotive Asia-Pacific Pty LTD facility is scheduled to open in Q1 2012. As general manager, Lee’s duties include day to day operation of the RTC which specializes in Honeywell TFE731 engine repair including Major Periodic Inspection (MPI) services, line maintenance on CFE738, HTF7000 turbofan engines and Honeywell APUs including GTCP36 series, RE100 and RE220. The Singapore RTC will also serve as the hub for regional technical field support and coordinate field service technicians in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore.
