Blackhawk Announces Executive Appointments

Jon Adams has joined the company as Director of STC Projects, Administrative Designated Engineering Representative (DER), and Micky Bitcon has been named Chief Financial Officer.

WACO, Texas, June 16, 2011 – Jim Allmon, president and CEO of Blackhawk, a leading provider of engine performance solutions for the Hawker Beechcraft King Air series and other popular turboprop aircraft worldwide, announced today that the company is again expanding its staff in response to strong performance and growing international customer base.

Jon Adams has joined the company as Director of STC Projects, Administrative Designated Engineering Representative (DER), and Micky Bitcon has been named Chief Financial Officer.

Adams comes to Blackhawk from Summit AeroEngineering, Inc., of Elk Ridge, Utah, a company he founded in 2002 that specializes in design, engineering and certification consulting services for aviation operators. He brings more than 25 years in aerospace manufacturing, engineering and certification operations, with experience in design, manufacturing and certification of advanced composite products. He also has extensive experience managing and coordinating Type Certificate (TC) and Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) projects with the Federal Aviation Administration. His expertise includes work with Spectrum Aeronautical of Spanish Fork, Utah, as Director of Regulatory Compliance. This record of performance and his solid FAA relationships will enable Blackhawk to execute STC projects even more effectively. Adams holds several FAA licenses and certifications and has completed a number of FAA advanced training programs.

Micky Bitcon joins Blackhawk after 13 years at Hawker Beechcraft Corporation, most recently serving as Director of Finance. Her experience in aerospace finance and accounting spans nearly 30 years and includes strategic planning, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, capital budgeting, management reporting policies and procedures and process improvement. Bitcon is a Certified Public Accountant. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an executive master’s degree from Wichita State University.
