Paris, Amstelveen, 20 June 2011 – AFI KLM E&M, EPCOR, and Transavia.com have signed a Total Component Care contract plus a five-year exclusive Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) contract covering maintenance, repairs, access to spare APU units and engineering support. AFI KLM E&M is Boeing’s exclusive partner for 737NG component support worldwide, in addition to being a major European operator of 737-800s itself and maintaining a total fleet of over 200 aircraft of this type.

Technical and commercial satisfaction plus know how and logistic benefits

Transavia.com has already had recourse to AFI KLM E&M’s maintenance and overhaul services from brake and wheel repairs and maintenance up to scheduled maintenance checks. EPCOR’s extensive experience in APU repairing and maintaining APUs on this aircraft type, allowing it to offer some of the most competitive Turn Around Times on the market plus the short distance between EPCOR premises and Transavia’s operational base was also a decisive argument. Peter de Swert, Executive Vice President of KLM E&M, said: “We are very pleased to be renewing our long-term connection with Transavia.com. This contract is especially satisfying because we really wanted to go on working with an airline that is part of our Group.” EPCOR Managing Director Paul Chün said: “It is a real pleasure to be working with Transavia.com. The contract brings us nearer to an airline operating within the AIR FRANCE KLM group, and means we can combine our respective expertise to drive the performance of our group.” Arnold Boot, Director Purchasing & Logistics, Transavia.com, said: “We are very pleased with the renewal of our Total Component Care contract for our 737-700/800 fleet. KLM E&M demonstrated over the past years to be a very reliable partner with an outstanding delivery performance. This outstanding performance contributed to a high technical punctuality of our highly utilized 737NG fleet.”
