Malaysia Airlines to Further Reduce Carbon Footprint with Pratt & Whitney’s EcoPower® Engine Wash

PARIS AIR SHOW, June 20, 2011 – Malaysia Airlines has signed an exclusive five-year agreement for Pratt & Whitney's environmentally friendly EcoPower® engine wash service. Under the agreement the airline will lease one set of EcoPower engine washing equipment and will perform its own washes at K. L International Airport, Malaysia. Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) company.

"The closed-loop system collects and recycles water making the entire process environmentally friendly and takes less than 90 minutes to complete."
