PARIS AIR SHOW, Paris, France, June 22, 2011 – Chromalloy, a leading service provider of repairs and coatings for turbine engines, used the occasion of the Paris Air Show to celebrate the company’s 60 years of serving the industry.

The company develops about 200 new advanced repairs each year for the engine hot section, serving the world’s airlines, the U.S. military, and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) shops.
Chromalloy proprietary coatings – including advanced thermal barrier coatings for turbine engine components – lower power systems’ thermal conductivity and allow higher engine temperatures, resulting in greater engine thrust. Higher thrust engines operate on the same amount of fuel as powerplants operating at lower temperatures.
Chromalloy provides coatings during repairs to commercial and military turbine engine operators and also partners with engine original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) Pratt & Whitney and Rolls-Royce to produce coatings at the companies’ joint venture operations in the U.S. and the U.K.
