International Communications Group Promotes Kennedy, Adds Ellison to OEM Sales Organization

Newport News, VA, July, 2011 — International Communications Group (ICG) has announced the promotion of Kieran Kennedy to the position of Senior Director—OEM Sales, and has added a new member to its domestic sales force with the naming of Todd Ellison to the post of Director—OEM Sales in its Dallas, Texas, office.

Kennedy, who has served as Manager—OEM Sales for the past four years, will continue to report to Vice President of Sales Jeff Saucedo and be based in the Virginia office. A native of London, England, he attended high school at St. Flannan's College in County Clare, Ireland and holds an Electronics & Communications Engineering degree from the Southampton Institute of Higher Education. He came to ICG as an Applications Engineer in 1999 with more than ten years of experience in the Maritime Electronics and Communications field and focused on Customer Support, eventually assuming the role of manager of the Customer Support Department. He transitioned to Sales in 2007 and held the position of OEM Sales Manager until moving into his current position.

Ellison joined ICG from Cobham/Chelton in Dallas where he has spent the past seven years as Satcom Sales Manager. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, he is a graduate of Ripley High School in Ripley, Tennessee and attended Murray State University. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he also studied Electrical Engineering and Avionics Design at the Community Colleges of the Air Force and at the University of Maryland and Kansas University. During his military service, he held various Ground Combat Communications roles in the Persian Gulf War, in Somalia, and on special assignments in the War on Drugs in Central and South America. He began his career in aviation at Terra Avionics in Albequerque, New Mexico as a Bench Technician and moved through positions of increasing responsibility as the company was sold, first to Trimble Avionics and subsequently to FreeFlight Systems over the course of 12 and a half years, eventually holding the positions of Quality Manager and Sales Engineer. He joined Cobham in 2004.

“Kieran's various positions within the company have provided him with a broad range of experience and given him a unique perspective of the aviation industry that has helped ICG build its brand. He has made new alliances on many new fronts and he was instrumental in securing our current agreement with Embraer. He will continue to work with key OEMs to expand our market presence. Todd is recognized as one of the industry’s most knowledgeable people in satcom systems and, particularly, antenna technologies. He brings a great deal to our OEM Sales effort as well as much-needed support in selling our data offerings. These two appointments will allow us to take full advantage of the existing relationships they both have established in a very competitive marketplace and permit us to aggressively pursue opportunities in a very targeted, specific fashion,” said Scott Trainum, Chief Executive Officer of ICG.
