São Paulo, Brazil…August 1, 2011…André Moreira has joined BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul (ERO) company Dallas Airmotive do Brasil as quality engineer. Moreira will be the Dallas Airmotive engineering interface with the Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC), the Brazilian agency responsible for regulations and safety oversight of civil aviation. He will also be responsible for managing quality standards and technical communications with Dallas Airmotive technical teams around the world.
Moreira recently graduated from Federal University of Minas Gerais with a degree in mechanical engineering with emphasis on aeronautics. While attending university, he worked for Dallas Airmotive do Brasil as an intern and is familiar with the company’s capabilities and processes. In addition to Portuguese, he is fluent in English and Italian.
Dallas Airmotive do Brasil is located in Belo Horizonte and provides OEM authorized Major Periodic Inspection services on Honeywell TFE731 turbofan engines and line maintenance on Honeywell 36 series APUs. It also offers repair services on Pratt & Whitney Canada PW100 and PT6A turboprop engines.
