Pryer Technology Group, manufacturer of Triform sheet hydroforming presses, introduces two new tray-style presses designed for aircraft parts production.

TULSA, OK (Aug 4, 2011) - Pryer Technology Group recently added two new models to its Triform line of sheet hydroforming presses. The two new machines, specifically developed for aircraft parts production, are the first tray-style hydroforming presses manufactured in the United States in more than 30 years.

"The aerospace industry has been waiting a long time for an alternative to the old, outdated sheet hydroforming presses previously manufactured in the U.S.," said Scott Pryer, president of Pryer Technology Group. "We're very excited to offer the added versatility and more cost-effective performance of these new Triform models."

Triform presses use high-pressure hydraulic fluid in a flexible rubber bladder to form sheet metal using a single tool, producing parts in a wide range of complex geometric shapes. The line was developed and launched in 2008 to replace the original sheet hydroforming equipment made in the 1960s and 1970s, which can be plagued by high maintenance costs, frequent downtime and limited availability of replacement parts.

The two new Triform models include the 1648BD, with a 16" x 48" work envelope, and the 2448BD, with a 24" x 48" work envelope. Both presses deliver standard pressure up to 5,000 PSI, with the 1648BD also available in a 10,000 PSI model.

Unlike the legacy hydroforming systems, Triform presses are compact, portable, and the majority of models have no special flooring requirements. Their state-of-the-art hydraulics and advanced touch-screen controls can also improve part quality, while reducing material and labor costs.

Pryer Technology Group currently offers ten different Triform press models, including those equipped with a hydraulic punch cylinder to allow forming of deep drawn parts, with depths up to 13 inches. For more information, call 1-855-864-4670 or visit www.triformpress.com
