Navtech Names Rathert to Lead Sales Operations

August 16, 2011 (TORONTO) – Navtech Inc., a leader in flight operations software and services, has named William Rathert as Senior Director, Sales Operations. Mr. Rathert will help direct and manage the company’s significant planned growth in North and South America.

Mr. Rathert brings a decade of experience in leading successful, multinational teams in complex technology-based sales pursuits. He joins Navtech from Texas-based Sabre Airline Solutions, where he was Sales Director. During his time with Sabre, Mr. Rathert sold integrated operations solutions to airline clients throughout the Americas, creating significant savings and increased revenues for their businesses. Prior to their acquisition by Sabre, Mr. Rathert was a Vice President with the Kiehl Hendrickson Group, consulting with a variety of clients including airports, airlines, state governments and others. Previously, Mr. Rathert also held senior leadership roles in several airlines, including the establishment of startup airlines.

Mr. Rathert is an active contributor to the advancement of the aviation industry. He’s a popular speaker and frequent writer on strategies for airports to build new revenue streams. A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Mr. Rathert holds a B.S. degree in history. He’s a former single-seat fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force and holds an Airline Transport Pilot rating as a Boeing 737 Captain, with more than 6,700 flight hours.
