The Israel Civil Aviation Authority has issued to the Baltic Aviation Academy (Lithuania) an approval certificate to operate the type rating trainings for Boeing 737 aircraft. Aviation training centre became the first approved type rating training organization (TRTO) in the Baltic region to start trainings for the Israel airlines and private pilots.
The first Baltic Aviation Academy client from Israel was Lead Air, a new charter airline launching flying to destinations around Europe. On July 2011 Lead Air pilots started their initial Boeing 737 CL trainings: theory trainings were carried out in the ground School in Tel Aviv, Israel, and Boeing 737 flight sessions were held in Vil¬nius, Lithuania. On August 7Th the first pilots from Israel air company passed the exam and received type rating certificate.

We were searching for the best partner for our air company’s pilot trainings and Baltic Aviation Academy met our criteria. After the first crews training we can emphasize the quality of Western aviation training with the advantage of costs in the Baltic region.“, comments Zvika Rosenberg, Vice President of Operations at Lead Air airline.
Israel takes a place at TOP3 countries placing the queries for Baltic Aviation Academy trainings, according to the company’s analysis of the corporate website statistics. “In the emerging aviation market, we are inducting the new ways of training to enhance safety and increase pilot proficiency while making the learning process easier to manage. Trainings at our training centre are approved by JAR/EASA certification verifying European quality in addition to our emphasis to client service.”, said Egle Vaitkeviciute, Chief Executive Officer of Baltic Aviation Academy.
Next to Israel civil aviation authority approval, course completion certificates issued by Baltic Aviation Academy are valid in the European Union, Russian Federation, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Pilots at Baltic Aviation Academy are being trained by 120 training instructors, most of which come from Western European countries.
Baltic Aviation Academy provides training courses for Boeing 737 CL, Boeing 737 NG, Boeing 747-400, Boeing 757, Boeing 767, Boeing 777, Saab 340/2000, Airbus A320, ATR 42-72, Embraer 135/145, Bombardier CRJ 100/200, Bombardier CRJ 700/900, Bombardier Dash 8Q-400 types of aircrafts and the initial pilot training school (FTO) courses.
