`Three airlines — including the current provider Aerodynamics Inc., and the previous provider, Great Lakes Aviation — have submitted bids to the feds for a new two-year contract to provide subsidized air service from Pierre to Denver beginning Aug. 1 under the Essential Air Service program.
In an interesting development stemming from lots of voiced demand, both ADI and Great Lakes propose including flights to Minneapolis, too.
Pierre City Commissioner Jim Mehlhaff was the latest to mention that demand at the commission meeting Tuesday.
