CA: Airline Halts Carlsbad to Vegas Flights but Says It Will Resume Service

Feb. 22, 2018

Just five months after debuting new nonstop service between Carlsbad’s McClellan Palomar Airport and Las Vegas, Cal Jet by Elite Airways decided to temporarily suspend service following multiple flight cancellations.

The suspended twice daily flights went into effect Feb. 17, and air service is not scheduled to resume until Feb. 27.

Cal Jet President George Wozniak said the company decided it had no choice but to halt all service out of Carlsbad and Vegas for a period of time after having to cancel a number of flights in February. Passengers who had upcoming bookings received emails from Cal Jet saying their flights had been canceled due to “crew and aircraft scheduling issues.”
