NY: Stewart International Airport Gets OK for Expansion, Name Change

NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. -- The Stewart International Airport, a secondary airport about 70 miles north of Midtown Manhattan, will soon undergo a transformation.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey authorized a name change and $30 million expansion to the airport on Thursday.

The project will expand the terminal by 19,850 square feet, adding a customs inspection area to accommodate domestic and international passengers simultaneously at the Hudson Valley airport.
