SHOW LOW — Tropic Ocean Airways, a Florida-based airline specializing in sea plane transport, has submitted a bid for an Essential Air Services (EAS) contract at the Show Low Regional Airport.
Boutique Air is the current EAS contract-holder at the airport, but their contract expires in June 2018. That means Boutique Air, as well as other aviation companies, may submit bids for the new contract. The bid process is currently open; the submission deadline is Dec. 11.
Mike Ritzi, development director for Tropic Ocean Airways, presented information about the company Dec. 6 during the Show Low Chamber of Commerce breakfast at Solterra Senior Living in Lakeside.
