GoAir's Delhi-Patna Flight Suffers Bird Hit

PATNA: Total 174 passengers on board a Delhi-Patna flight of GoAir had a close shave on Saturday morning following a bird-strike soon after it took off from the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport in the national capital.

The flight - G8 140 took off from IGI airport at its scheduled departure time of 10:25am.

GoAir said in a statement that the Airbus A320neo plane suffered the bird hit when it was on the climb, forcing the pilot to discontinue the journey and return to New Delhi for an inspection of the plane. Airlines sources informed that the front portion of the aircraft got damaged due to the collission.
