Local air travelers now have another option for nonstop travel from Des Moines International Airport.
American Airlines announced Thursday that it would add twice daily flights from Des Moines to its hub at Philadelphia International Airport beginning on May 4.
Leaving Des Moines, the early morning flight will leave at 6:25 a.m. and arrive in Philadelphia at 10 a.m. An afternoon flight will leave at 1:31 p.m. and arrive at 5:07 p.m.
