Flight Delays After Manchester Airport Check-In Fails

Hundreds of passengers have waited in queues for several hours at Manchester Airport because of a "technical failure" with the check-in system.

A total of 12 Thomas Cook flights were affected after staff had to switch to a manual check-in system, leading to delays of about two hours. Other airlines also experienced problems.

Two flights at East Midlands Airport were also delayed.

Passengers are being advised to turn up as normal.
