AoT Moving Away From Outsourcing Services

The Airports of Thailand (AoT) announced plans to organize two subsidiaries to boost service and address security and ground support equipment services.

The Airports of Thailand (AoT) announced plans to organize two subsidiaries to boost efficiency and address security and ground support equipment services.

According to a report by the Bangkok Post, the AoT will not extend contracts for outsourcing firms that handle certain key operations. Rather, the AoT will establish one group to conduct security services and another group to peform ground support responsibilities.

The report states these two subsidiaries will be registred in July.

Baggage handling at Suvarnabhumi Airport is currently conducted by Thai Airways International Plc and Bangkok Flight Service Co, and according to the report, the AoT does not plan to suspsend those handling companies' contracts.
