Newquay is the Fastest Growing Airport in UK But Why Are the Transport Links so Bad?

Cornwall Newquay Airport may be the fastest growing airport in the UK with a record 48% rise in passenger numbers, but how can the biggest airport south of Bristol sustain such growth when it is notoriously difficult to access?

The airport has been enjoying some stellar growth on all fronts for many years and 2017 is no different, as already for the first two months the airport's traffic has been up by 37%.

New Ryanair routes to Faro and Germany are also expected to boost the volume of passenger traffic through the airport.

Launched in March, it is hoped that the airline will carry 20,000 passengers on the route between the UK and Portugal this year, which means Ryanair is aiming for an 85% flight occupancy.
