Ariana-NAS Afghan airlines partnership expand ground services

Ariana-NAS, a joint venture between National Aviation Services (NAS) and Ariana Afghan Airlines launched ground handling services in Herat and Kandahar International Airports.

This new initiative will facilitate integration of Afghanistan into the wider global economy.

Stephen Irwin, general mnager of NAS Afghanistan said: “We fully understand opportunities and challenges of operating in emerging markets. Our commercial and operational expertise provides an edge as a partner in airports services worldwide. This allows us to operate at optimal financial and operational levels.”

The amalgamation has seen introduction of Ground Support Equipment (GSE), new vehicle procurement, organized management restructuring and extensive staff training, with further infrastructural developments.
