Gerald R. Ford International Airport Responds To Bomb Threat

At 4:03 a.m., Gerald R. Ford International Airport received a bomb threat specific to the Gerald R. Ford International Airport terminal building.  The airport reports it is taking appropriate precautions and has employed extra police presence including Michigan State Police and the Kent County Sheriff’s Department. Michigan State Police officials did a thorough search of the terminal and curb front area with canine teams, and have found no threats. The West Michigan Aviation Academy and all affected tenants, including airlines, have been notified.  All flight operations are running as normal.  Passengers are encouraged to check social media at @FlyGRFord on Twitter or Gerald R.
