Dec. 1, 2014
Handlers says they work up to 17 hours per day, earn around $160 a month and search airport trash bins for meals because they are not allowed a break to go out and buy food.

Baggage workers at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi, Kenya, claim upper management treats them like animals.

Specifically, they allege they work up to 17 hours per day, earn a salary of 14,390 Kenyan shillings (around $160) a month, and search airport trash bins for meals because they are not allowed a break to go out and buy food.
