Gazpromneft-Aero Customers To Refuel Across Shell Aviation's Global Network

Agreement will allow partner airline companies of Gazpromneft-Aero to refuel at airports where Shell operates a jet fuelling business,

ST PETERSBURG, Russia, July 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ - Gazpromneft-Aero, the operator of Gazprom Neft's aviation fuel business, and leading global supplier of aviation fuels Shell Aviation signed an agreement that will allow partner airline companies of Gazpromneft-Aero to refuel at airports where Shell operates a jet fuelling business, benefiting from Shell Aviation's global network.

The agreement will allow Gazpromneft-Aero to provide its partner airlines with greater cooperation and a high level of service in foreign airports across the world.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION 

Based on the results of 2013, Gazpromneft-Aero has confirmed its  status as the leader  on the Russian aviation fuel market in terms of retail sales volume. The total volume of the company's aviation fuel sales amounted to 3.4 million tons, of which more than 2.2 million tons were fuelled "in-wing" - up 16% from 2012. The company also has the largest distribution network in the Russian market, which includes 37 fueling complexes. 

Gazpromneft-Aero is a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft. The company has been carrying out aircraft refuelling and "into-plane" aviation fuel sales since January 1, 2008. Gazpromneft-Aero has been a strategic partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in supplying aviation fuel since December 2008.
