The best Food & Shops service providers at LaGuardia's Terminal B were honored at the 7thAnnual Quest for the Best Awards Brunch on March 10, 2014

The best Food & Shops service providers at LaGuardia's Terminal B were honored at the 7thAnnual Quest for the Best Awards Brunch on March 10, 2014.

The event was held at Figs Restaurant in LaGuardia's Terminal B, and winners were announced in 8 service categories. Auntie Anne's was crowned the top service provider and received the Quest for the Best trophy and a $1,000 cash prize. Lillian Tan, Vice President and General Manager of MarketPlace Development, the retail development company that manages the Food & Shops program, kicked off the brunch with a welcome speech and acted as host. Doug Stearns, LaGuardia Airport Operations Manager and Paul McGinn, MarketPlace Development President also provided remarks on the Quest for the Best program and this year's winners. 

The 2014 'Quest for the Best' winners are:

  • Annual Quest for the Best Award - Auntie Anne's 
  • First Runner Up/Food - Famous Famiglia  
  • First Runner Up /Retail - InMotion Entertainment
  • Second Runner Up/Food - Five Guys Burgers & Fries
  • Second Runner Up/Retail- Sunglass Hut
  • Most Improved/Food - Healthy Gourmet
  • Most Improved /Retail - Hudson News
  • Service Spirit Award - Au Bon Pain 

Quest for the Best Winners Accepting Awards

Adam Levy, the franchisee of Auntie Anne's at LaGuardia's Terminal B, and his team, was presented with the "Quest for the Best" trophy and a $1,000 cash prize for their dedication and excellence in customer service.  Auntie Anne's at Terminal B was also just recognized nationally by Auntie Anne's with the "Pretzel Perfect Award" which also honors outstanding service.

"First and foremost, I want to congratulate Auntie Anne's and all of today's winners. They have worked hard and deserve the recognition. I also commend all of our Food & Shops partners for their continued commitment to provide quality customer service to our passengers," says Lillian Tan, Vice President/General Manager of MarketPlace Development. "It's our mission to deliver the very best service to passengers every day and the Quest for the Best program helps to keep the motivation and spirit at a high level."

The 'Quest for the Best' Awards Brunch is the culmination of an annual incentive program that recognizes service excellence throughout the year. Each store accumulates points based on secret shop scores, customer commendations, and employee attendance at training programs. On a quarterly basis, the store with the highest points receives $500 in cash and the traveling "Quest for the Best" trophy to display in their store.
