Flight Cancellations Worse Today - 5,200 And Counting - As Winter's Grip Reaches Further North

Feb. 13--The winter storm that cancelled more than 3,400 flights by the end of Wednesday has caused more than 5,200 already this morning as the snow and ice have worked up the coast.

According to FlightAware.com, there are also more than 2,600 total delays.

More than 60 flights into or out of Palm Beach International Airport are cancelled, including departures to Philadelphia, New York, Newark and Atlanta. Arrivals from Oklahoma, Dallas and New York as well as Atlanta are in the mix of scratched flights.

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport reports 115 cancellations and 91 delays so far this morning. The flights include those to and from Montreal, Charlotte, Baltimore and Atlanta.

The numbers are likely to continue to grow throughout the day.
